Rick has been serving at GFC for over twenty years. He is an Ordained Teaching Elder by the Presbyterian Church in America, a Graduate with a Masters of DIvinity from Columbia Bible College and a Bachelor of Science from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina.
Rick is a skilled teacher and has a great desire to see the Gospel reach people in Cape Breton. Rick has been married for to Sharon for 24 years and has 6 children.
Dave is an ordained Elder at GFC and has served the Cape Breton community faithfully in church life and business since moving here from Prince Edward Island. He is the head of the GFC Finance Committy and serves on several other Christian community organizations including the Munroe Academy Building Committee, Island Business Ministries, and the Shushan Society.
Bibi is a full time missionary with Medical Ambassadors. She travels in Central and South America teaching a program called Community Health Evangelism (C.H.E.) which is a community assets based approach to help people transform communities by the power of the Gospel and gifts God has given them. Bibi is the head of the GFC Local Ministries committee.
Doug is the newest ordained elder at GFC. Doug and his family came to GFC to serve as Director of Christian Education/Youth Pastor. After 5 years of faithful service, Doug moved into the position of Principal of Munroe Academy. He is currently head of the GFC Missions Committee.
Winston is an ordained elder and founding member of GFC. He has served the congregation faithfully for over 20 years. He has a pastors heart and is a light of encouragement to everyone he talks to. Winston is head of the GFC Property Committee
Joe has been serving at grace for 5 years as Director of Christian Ed./Youth Pastor and has recently moved into a church planting role with Journey Church, Sydney NS. Joe is also a worship leader/song writer. He is currently serving as a GFC Council Liaison seeking to build connections with other churches in Cape Breton.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
